PuTTY client setup for best results with FIJInet

Setup PuTTY with default settings except

Window - Rows = 25

Window - Lines of scrollback = 0

Window - Appearance - Font settings = Terminal, 14 point

Window - Translation - Character Set = CP437

Terminal - Remote-controlled-printing = any printer defined, except FIJInet printers

FIJInet will default to VT220 terminal type and ESC keyboard sequence when used with PuTTY

MS Telnet Client
Layout - Screen Buffer Size - Width = 80 - Height = 25

Layout - Window Size - Width = 80 - Height = 25

Font - Font = Lucida Console - Size = 14

Does not support remote printing or bell

FIJInet will default to VT220 terminal type and VTxxx keyboard sequence when used with MS Telnet

MS Client Notes: Use the command "set ntlm: to use ntlm. "unset ntlm" turns off client side ntlm
Help commands: set ? unset ?

HyperTerminal PE

Does not support line draw graphics

Setup - Terminal - Size 80 x 25

Setup - Terminal - Term size = win size, Checked

Setup - Window - Full color, Checked

Setup - Window - Scroll buffer, Unchecked

Setup - Font - Font = Terminal, 14

Setup - Keyboard - Meta Key, Checked

Setup - TCP/IP - Term type = XTERM

Printing is supported but only prints to the default windows printer

If installing on a clean installation of Windows 2000 you may receive an error stating that the MSVCP60.DLL
could not be found. We have included this DLL for down load here.
